about

With their fourth release in four years, the Raleigh-based rockers of The Record have once again delivered a diverse collection of songs in "A Verdict Wouldn’t Matter" that invites listeners to crank up the volume and simply enjoy good music. Displaying the band’s variety of musical influences, the five-song EP grabs the audience with the opening guitar riff of “Keep Your Head Up” and holds on tight until the last chord rings out in the closing track, “Come Back To Earth.” In between, the band explores a variety of emotions and themes ranging from the melancholy of unrequited love and excitement of juvenile romance to the irrepressible optimism of youth. All told, "A Verdict Wouldn’t Matter" expresses the central conclusion that life is best lived free of the weight and worry of consequences.
